Bald Eagle Flying And Soaring In Glorius Beauty

The Bald Eagle Flying (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) is an iconic picture and one that many people associate with the United States of America. The American Bald Eagle is a large raptor found throughout North America. It is quite a common and a hugely successful predator mainly due to it’s often scavenger and opportunistic – like tendencies. It is not a picky eater and certainly will not turn it’s beak up at fast food.

Possible Golden Eagle Sightings (Michigan)

by Bryon (Imlay city, mi. USA) May possibly have seen a pair of Golden Eagles migrating through Imlay City Michigan (Michigan's 'thumb'). Also, may have seen one attack (briefly) a fawn white-tail deer about two weeks ago. We have seen Bald eagles in area occasionally, but never Goldens. First thought was a red tail hawk given the color scheme---but size was excessivly larger and especially compared to many crows that were in close proximity to birds in flight. Has anyone else reported Goldens in michigan?

This was from my first experience with the beautiful sport of Falconry. My wife and I plan to start our apprenticeship within the next year, after our change in location.

Owls (How They Survive)

by Unknown

Camouflage

The color of a owl plays a important role in it's enviorment. It's ability to sit still and blend in with it's surroundings making the owl invisible to all it's predators. The only thing is that is not camouflaged is the eyes well only for some owls. Most owls have feathers, the colors and even the patterns of the tree bark to camouflage them while they sleep both from preadotors and also from harassment, by prey species so they can survive in the day and night.

Help With Aggresive Eagle Owl

by Gerry (USA) My Eagle Owl (3yrs) got Asper. His treatment kept him in an extra large crate for 2 months. Once he was put back in his aviary he can't be caught short of grabbing him out of the air. I haven't done it. So I'm working on gaining his trust by sitting with him and reading. But now he is showing low body aggression and coming after me !!! I live alone so I'm avoiding the situation. I don't want to do something to make this situation worse.

The Illusive Whiskered Screech Owl

Welcome to my Whiskered Screech Owl Page. On here we will discuss in detail this species of Scops Owl and it’s relative the Western Screech Owl.

We will also look at their habitats and breeding habits, also an important factor to this page is the diet of these little owls. I will also talk about Pet Owls and Screech Owls in Falconry.

The Falcon Bird Species

The Falcon Bird species is the fastest of all the raptors. This page will include perigrine falcon video footage (the fastest animal on the planet :)) and a guide to information on many falcons and their training methods in falconry.

If you want information on the hawk bird species or the owl species please follow the links. Alternatively, you could check out my eagle facts page. Falcons, in their different forms can be found all over the world and vary hugely in size, behaviour, habitat and hunting techniques..

Female Bald Eagle Sounds Vs Male Bald Eagle Call

Bald Eagle Sounds are a commonly heard thing when near water especially in Northern areas of North America. Even though the Bald Eagle range is huge and covers nearly all of North America, Canada and Alaska right down to mexico, this does not mean that it is easily recognizable for everyone.

The Bald Eagle Call is (like other Eagles such as the Golden Eagle) very surprisingly high pitched and piercing. The fish Eagles, however (such as the Bald Eagle Call) is usually longer and consists of a series of notes rather than separate Bald Eagle call.
